Thing Two has been uncharacteristically crabby the last few weeks – so don’t let these cute pictures fool you. He’s about to be 28 months old…but he never used to be so difficult (on a regular basis). I guess the “Terrible Twos” are finally setting in now? I had my hopes up that he was going to skip that part of being two – he is normally very agreeable. Oh well! It is a new challenge around here, for sure.
Thing Two participated in most of the same Zebra and Zoo stuff as Big Brother this week. Our Zebra activities are from COAH’s LOTW. Our Zoo Spelling is from 2 Teaching Mommies. I also own the same adorable Zoo Animal Digital Art (by Just So Scrappy) – it’s what I used for this site. I created some Heads & Tails Zoo Animal Matching and some Zoo Magnets (I put magnet tape on the back, but you could also put them on a popsicle/craft stick or various other uses too) for playing. You can find my Zoo Printables here.
I couldn’t find a good Z Bible verse. I went off the pattern of doing verses and we did Z for the Zacchaeus Story instead. We sang the fun “Zacchaeus was a wee little man…” song each day to “memorize” the story. They loved that! I had found a nice coloring page online for the story…as you can see Thing Two colored it up REAL well…Jesus and Zacchaeus are in there somewhere! lol

I love all your zoo activities! Putting magnets on the animals was a great idea – a good way to keep little hands busy. My little girl has always been agreeable too but recently has had a turn in the other direction! I am not a fan of those two year old tantrums!
Glad you like them! We did this with some ocean animals too (the magnet idea) and they were really loved – especially the fish that was “A Nemo!” This time, Thing Two figured out now that the animals also stick to the washing machine upstairs – so now I have zoo animals EVERYWHERE.
Thanks for stopping by!
