Tot School Letter Aa

I don’t know when we’ll officially step Thing Two up to PreK. He is pretty much doing everything from COAH’s LOTW right now…except the counting (correctly) and the fine motor tracing skills. He can do a straight big line, but he’s not interested in tracing “real” things yet. And’ I’m okay with that – he’s only 29 months old! Here’s some fun Thing Two had with learning this week…

IMG_0136 He was SUPER proud if his “rainbow alligator”.

IMG_0138 IMG_0140 IMG_0141 IMG_0142 IMG_0148 IMG_0150 IMG_0156 IMG_0161 All of Thing Two’s fun Letter A activities came from COAH’s LOTW (as usual).

IMG_0145 And he pulled out his Very Hungry Caterpillar Tot Book/Pack from 1+1+1=1. He loves this book and therefore is equally attached to the activities he has to go with it.

Graphing his candy rolls…this game from 1+1+1=1 in the Candy Pack HERE

We played Memory with some of the Fruit and Veggie Cards. Find these awesome life-like printables from Homeschool Creations HERE. One of their FAVORITE games – they ask to play memory with everything. :-)

Color-By-Number Candy!

“feeding” the caterpillar the foods he ate as I reread The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Sorry, but I cannot recall where I got these food cards – I do remember they were supposed to be for sequencing the story, but we used them our own way.

Another part from the Candy Pack – we counted how mach was in the bowl and then we counted out amounts to put into the empty bowl. This type of counting seems to work better that using a finger to touch stationary items.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Tot Book by 1+1+1=1 is found HERE

This is one of the more awesome tot/preK books I have found so far.

Color Matching

Ben can do it too!

using the letters (UC and LC are included!) to spell his name.

We also worked on a few simple CVC words to sound out – went pretty well!

The Dot Paints are a big favorite around here. (LOTW)

But look at this awesome painting job from Thing One – he colors better with paint than crayons! (LOTW)
