Good to Be Home

I missed my bed and my pillow…but over all the time in Cali with my grandparents was fun. The boys really enjoyed getting to know their great-grandparents, and it was fun to watch them bond. We got to the Oakland Zoo, San Francisco, and had a disasterous couple hours at Marine World (long story, can’t share it with the “world” so ask privately if you’re curious).

Micah getting to check out the cockpit after our flight – SW Airlines ROCKS – THANK YOU!
Helping Great-Grandma hang up the laundry (yes, she still does it the “old fashioned” way)
Ben thinks this is a much faster way to get to the top of the slide!
Too much excitement – I thought this only happened in the movies!

Labor Day weekend at “regular grandmas” (my parents) was the best part for me. No need to smile and nod or hold my tongue. And I had my first ever experience trying to sell my crocheted stuff!  It went VERY well.  I sold 8 hats and 3 blankets.  Still amazed over it all. Sadly, on the way home Jon got a speeding tichet for just short of $200. That sort of ruined the whole high of making money at the Market. I love my husband, I love my husband….I do, I do! lol

Micah is pretty much day-time potty trained now! It just seemed to happen over night – we came home from vacation and he just wanted to pee on the potty. AMAZING!  We’re still working on getting #2 in there…but I’ll take what I can get at this point.

Jon’s birthday was yesterday – Micah “helped” me bake a cake. I am pretty sure Micah was WAY more excited it was Jon’s birthday than Jon was, lol. But there is nothing like hearing him say, “Happy Birt-day Daddy!” It almost made me cry.  :-)

Yummy – homemade frosting!
1 -2 -3 – BLOW!
