Sensory Fish Bubble Counting (FREE Printable)

Sensory Bubble Counting Fish Thumb

Something FUN to keep your little ones practicing their counting and number words over summer! All the directions for creating this game are included along with the colorful number fish. It’s easy and can be played at two levels: numeral recognition or for sight word number practice!

The bubbles are made with glitter glue – which dries with a fun raised texture! Thing Two LOVES his “fishy game” and has asked to count his bubbles all week!

IMG_0420 IMG_0425 Thing One worked on his sight words with the number words set of fish. He wanted a picture by his completed board like his Little Brother. They both really had fun with this game and I am leaving it up on the wall for future use…and formulating a plan for more poster board games like this, so be sure to follow Ironic Adventures on Facebook and Twitter to get updates on new printables!

~ ENJOY!

Tot School Letter Aa

I don’t know when we’ll officially step Thing Two up to PreK. He is pretty much doing everything from COAH’s LOTW right now…except the counting (correctly) and the fine motor tracing skills. He can do a straight big line, but he’s not interested in tracing “real” things yet. And’ I’m okay with that – he’s only 29 months old! Here’s some fun Thing Two had with learning this week…

IMG_0136 He was SUPER proud if his “rainbow alligator”.

IMG_0138 IMG_0140 IMG_0141 IMG_0142 IMG_0148 IMG_0150 IMG_0156 IMG_0161 All of Thing Two’s fun Letter A activities came from COAH’s LOTW (as usual).

IMG_0145 And he pulled out his Very Hungry Caterpillar Tot Book/Pack from 1+1+1=1. He loves this book and therefore is equally attached to the activities he has to go with it.

Thing Two & Letter R

Some LOTW Rainbow fun and some Rainbow Robots from Homeschool Creations were in the drawers for this week. He enjoyed his activities – especially his Robots, he LOVES Robots! He even sleeps with a crochet one I made him.

IMG_0009 IMG_0010 Robot Shape Matching – I drew on the shapes for him because he isn’t ready for just the words yet. He loved it!

IMG_0011 IMG_0052 The color matching activity with LOTW was pretty creative! He enjoys matching his clouds…though I told him to put them on the half of the rainbow without a cloud – but he INSISTED that they didn’t go there, and so matched htem on top of the cloud that was already there, oh well. lol

IMG_0067 IMG_0068 He got tired of waiting for his brother to roll a 3 to add the last cloud to our Roll-a-Rainbow form LOTW. He decided to add it himself (much to the dismay of Thing One).

IMG_0032 IMG_0034 THIS is my BRAG moment for the week. He matched ALL his UC/LC letter (not laid out in order either!) BY HIMSELF. I was super proud and surprised. He is so good with so much of the “preK” level stuff, he might be a bit ahead of Thing One in the long run. He is certainly ahead of him as compared to Thing One’s abilities at 28 months! We’ll see how it goes. He thinks he’s just having fun – HA! Joke’s on him. :-)

IMG_0058 He also loved matching up our Shamrocks from our “5 Little Shamrocks” poem I made up for the St. Patrick’s Day Number Fun Pack. You can check out the activities in action HERE and download the pack for free HERE.

OCD Two Year old?!

Gave Thing Two a game I found at Dollar Tree to play with…first he took out all the tees by COLOR.

Then I noticed he was replacing them by COLOR as well.

Not only by COLO – but by QUANTITY TOO?!

He wanted me to see his “game”

Organized by COLOR SYMMETRICALLY! WHAT THE…..?! Seriously, this kid has some OCD issues. Wonder where he gets THAT from…lol :-) I don’t know what kind of “mind” or “learning style” this is showing…but it has to mean something (other than being nuts like his Mama!)
