Best News EVER!

Micah had his last post-op appointment with his plastic surgeon this morning. And by last I do mean LAST…for at least 1-3 YEARS! He is also back to a normal “any food” diet. He came home and inhaled a bowl of goldfish and animal crackers. Then he asked if he could have a bowl of cheerios for lunch, lol.

I couldn’t be more thankful to hear this amazing news. This means no more hospitals, no more weird diet restrictions, no more drugs, and possibly the best part of all: no more medical bills!

…For a few years at least. :-) Thank you Lord!

Update #2 on Eye Surgery

Micah spiked a low fever yesterday afternoon, out of the blue, and was acting sluggish. He’s been coughing so I called his pediatrician’s office yesterday and they weren’t concerned. The nurse on the phone who called me back said to use Tylenol for the fever and try allergy meds for the cough. Then this morning he woke up and said his eye hurt. I didn’t think anything since the Eye Dr said he was fine Monday.
Then after nap today his eye looked like puss was coming out of it and he had a fever again. I called the his Eye Dr – Dr. Shea) and was told to come RIGHT in.
New Eyedrops, Eye Ointment, and an Antibiotic now….I knew it was too good to be true! She says the eye itself is not infected, but it is very irritated. Could be a sinus infection.
Eye Dr. wanted us to go see the pediatrician too, but when I told her they didn’t want to see him for the same symptoms yesterday (minus the eye puss) she just decided to put him on antibiotics and more eye drop steroids and a cream now too.
